We handle domesticated dogs, cats, birds & reptiles. We do not handle large animals such as horses or cattle but we can certainly point you in the right direction if that is the case.

We help all animals, especially those in crisis. Our AmbuVet Techs carry: Muzzles, Rabies Poles & are trained in restraint methods to help minimize the chance of injury to both pet and person. No. As Licensed Veterinary Technicians, we may not diagnose, perform surgery, prescribe or euthanize. We do what ambulances do; take the patient in the most comfortable manner possible to the hospital of your choice. We take preliminary vital signs (i.e. HR, RR, Temp, CRT, history, etc) and relay that information to the veterinarian so that they are prepped and ready for the emergency.
No. Any chemical restraint may alter tests and/or treatment your Vet will provide upon arrival at the clinic. It is Veterniary protocal to run tests to assess an animals health with accurate results. Yes. With your permission, we may enter the home, with your presence, to assist in securing your animal into a customized AmbuVet Pet Ambulance for transport to a vet facility of your choice. We will even carry your animal down a flight a stairs!
In special cases we may ask the pets owner to ride separately; if doing so will improve your pets' circumstance. AmbuVet vehicles are equipped to provide the best care during transport for animals. Passenger space is limited & dependant on your situation.
Our pricing depends on several factors: the animals weight, first aid services provided, oxygen used and the destination. Lesser charges may apply for curbside pickup & for pets that do not require oxygen. Price List>>
An organized, premium pick- up and drop- off service for scheduled procedures and/ or outpatient treatments for your pet. Round trips starting at only $135 (Tuesdays only.) We arrange admission, discharge and care of pet (including medications) with your care provider. After the visit we return the pet your location in the TriState area.
