AmbuVet® is the only pet emergency transport service in New York City that operates 24/7 by New York State certified Veterinary Technicians.

Don Montes, a Licensed Veterinary Technician and owner of AmbuVet Pet Ambulance, assists in various animal emergencies every day. Animals hit by cars, building collapses, fires and other medical emergencies rely on Don's trustworthy service to save pet lives. He expanded AmbuVet to include non- medical transports of animals "door to door" when a pet needs comfortable, safe transport.

Our goal (in partnership with your pets' veterinarian) is to provide compassionate care of the highest quality during transport of your pet. Our caring and knowledgeable team of licensed veterinary technicians and support staff pledge our commitment to provide excellent client service and to promote continuing education to the veterinary community and pet owners.

AmbuVet vehicles are equipped with a specially modified rear compartment that includes localized climate control, padding, built- in crates, stretchers and ramps that ensure comfort into the vans and during the ride. First aid and oxygen are available for more critical cases, on- hand at the ready for any medical event.

NYC police and firefighters frequently call AmbuVet when an injured animal is left at their facility & in every instance, AmbuVet® comes to aid. DONATIONS via our PayPal account allow us to recoup some of the expenses we incur responding to help calls by Agencies & Citizens alike. We strive to help any animal, especially those in need & less fortunate. AmbuVet Licensed Veterinary Technicians are in contact with local veterinary facilities and are trained in the professional & compassionate transportion of most breeds of animals- feline, canine, reptile. In more serious cases, veterinarians are available upon request (for an additional fee) to accompany the pet during transit if specialized medical assistance is required.

Special Operations: Horses, Livestock & other uncommon animals are also well cared for as we work & refer with transport (when able) to regional veterinary specialists like the Animal Medical Center, The University of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine & Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. With inter- hospital transfers, we arrange for the transfer of medical records, samples & lab results (blood reports, treatment sheets, x-rays, biopsies) to accompany the animal for a seamless arrival between veterinary facilities.
